Why Shirtlab for T-shirt Printing?
We created shirtlab as a result of extensive research into customised clothing and apparel websites currently available in the UK. As very experienced screen printers and embroiderers we knew what we wanted to see and the type of site we wanted to create. Most t-shirt printing sites (as they tend to be called) tend to be one of two types; they are either a general information sites with a generic catalogue or an on-line 'design-your-own-t-shirt' site but with digital garment images, geared more to slogan or gift type t-shirts - thus giving only an approximation of the delivered product.
What we wanted to produce was a site which covered the full spectrum of possible customers but with a very powerful design tool which was simple to use. Whether the enquiry was someone looking for a one-off gift t-shirt or a large multi-national corporation looking to design and order 10,000 screen printed polo shirts, we wanted all customers to feel confident with all aspects of our site and their subsequent design and ordering. We can even offer embroidered logos and ultra-modern digital printing.

The result of our research culminated in the creation of our own unique online designer. We invested heavily in using actual photographs of many of the garments in our designer (something we are adding to all the time). Each garment can then be changed to reflect each of the actual garment colours (this is an essential and crucial element when determining the best colour to show off a design or logo). Views of the garments front and back allows designs to be added and viewed easily. A simple to use control panel then allows for uploaded designs, text or images to be added, coloured, sized or rotated.
We also wanted a non-complicated, All-Inclusive Pricing structure and one that could be easily seen as the design was created. It was important that our customers could reduce the quantity of their order; change the numbers of colours in their desgn or the number of locations to see how the pricing changed and so easily match their order according to their budget - simple! Finally we wanted to provide a guarantee - a full money back guarantee - to give our customers absolute confidence in our service and quality of our products.
